Bijou Build is designed for the whole family. It offers a safe, adaptable space for kids and adults to enjoy outdoor activities and bonding time.

Core Concepts

It's not just for kids - teens and adults can use it too.

The structure has cool features like a solar panel and 100 LEDs. This makes it great for hanging out day or night. One key idea is safety. Bijou meets or beats all U.S. safety rules for kids' outdoor play gear. It's been tested for heavy use, twisting, pulling, and weather effects.

The system is easy to change. You can add or remove parts as your family's needs shift. This means you won't need to buy new play equipment as your kids grow up.

Development Philosophy

We’re focused on creating a play space that grows with your family. We wanted something simple to put together that fits different spaces and ages.

The design has three main parts:

  1. A bracket system

  2. Parts you can switch out

  3. A base that folds up for storage

This setup lets you change the structure as needed. You can make it bigger, smaller, or different shapes.

The team also thought about how to get people outside more. They added UV protection to make it safer to play in the sun.

The sway feature gives adults a comfy spot to relax while kids play nearby.

Design Principles

Our design is based on open-ended and modular principles. This approach allows kids to explore and play in countless ways. The structure adapts to different ages, from 3 to 103 years old.

Safety is a key factor. The design ensures kids can test their limits while staying secure. Durability is also important. We use high-quality materials to withstand outdoor use year-round.

Sustainability plays a role too. The panels are made of recycled material, reducing environmental impact.

Conclusion

Nature offers endless benefits for a child’s physical, emotional, and intellectual development. Combining nature-inspired books with outdoor play structures like ours helps with creativity, exploration, and a love for the outdoors. You can create a sustainable, imaginative play space that brings the magic of nature right to your backyard.
