Mainstay Wood is available to purchase as an add-on. Bijou uses standard construction grade pressure treated 2×4s available at your local hardware store. Bijou doesn't require ANY special cuts and uses standard length wood at 10ft, so you can grab it right off the shelf.

Materials
The Rambler Bridge is made with UV-protected nylon ropes that stand up to both the elements and the energy of everyday play. This bridge can handle it all, whether it’s sun, rain, or the occasional muddy boots, staying strong for countless hours of playtime
Assembly
The Rambler Rope Bridge attaches to the Mainstay with the included carabiners. 4 for the top ropes and 4 for the bottom stability ropes.
Because the Rambler Rope Bridge is suspended in the air, it doesn't put a lot of stress on the Mainstays and they MUST be staked down on the outer feet using the auger stakes.

How Much Space Do I Need to Set Up the Rambler Rope Bridge?
The Rambler Rope Bridge features an 8-foot crossing area, plus 3 feet on each end to secure it to your Bijou Mainstays. We recommend setting up your Rambler Bridge where you can fit two Mainstays 10 feet apart. We recommend at least 3 feet of clearance on each side of the bridge to ensure safe play. This buffer zone allows kids to balance, swing, and explore without bumping into walls, furniture, or other obstacles.
Can Multiple Kids Use the Bridge at the Same Time?
The Rambler Rope Bridge is designed for one child at a time to ensure balance, safety, and maximum fun. This helps avoid overcrowding and tipping, especially during active or imaginative play scenarios. The bridge has a maximum weight capacity of 250 lbs, which supports children across a wide age range. Remind kids to take turns and enjoy the crossing one at a time to make the experience safe and exciting.
Does the Rambler Rope Bridge Come With Everything Needed for Setup?

Is the Rambler Rope Bridge Safe for Younger Children?
Absolutely, but with a few crucial considerations. When used under adult supervision, the Rambler is safe for toddlers and preschool-aged kids. For younger children still mastering balance, we recommend adding side support or soft padding underneath to increase safety during early use.
As always, set up your bridge on a stable, soft surface, and guide your child as they learn to navigate it. Many parents find it’s a great way to gently build confidence, strength, and spatial awareness from an early age.
Can the Bridge Be Adjusted for Different Heights?
For safety purposes, we recommend installing the Rambler Rope Bridge only as recommended in the instruction video, with the top rope reaching halfway up the Bijou legs.

Pictures don’t do the bridge justice. The rope is much thicker in person and this is coming from someone who rock climbs and is used to rope.

I love this product. So does my daughter and all of her friends. We had some trouble translating the instructions into action, but reached out to the company and they assisted us with more videos and detailed instructions. I would say that it takes more than an hour to put up the mainstay. Maybe say 1-3 hours?
