Yes! Bijou is built with outdoor pro-grade materials for durability.
It features a powder-coated steel frame, stainless steel hardware, and UV-injected nylon anchor feet. The panels are made from 50% recycled water bottles with UV-resistant Teslin material. It includes two storage straps for portability but must be staked down for stability. The pressure-treated lumber makes it decay and mildew-resistant, though the assembled Mainstay weighs about 150 lbs.

Bijou Build Mainstay
Everyone oohs and ahhh over our mainstay. I was nervous my three year old would be too young for it (even though we wanted something he could grow into) but he loves the climbing all and having a space all his own. After he goes to bed I like to climb in with a glass of wine and listen to the crickets and frogs.
We all love the sway swings too! My very tall husband down to our toddler is in love with them.
The toddler loves getting a read along book and sitting there after nap.
Bijou build fits perfectly in our small backyard and provides a great space for our 7 year old to play.
We bought the Bijou build to provide a shaded structure in the backyard that our kid would play in and where a grown-up could hang out with him. My son (5) and I absolutely adore it. We bought the second level so we will go out together and he will hang out on the top while I read on the bottom. It’s made the entire backyard feel more accessible and attractive, and now we spend time nearly every day playing out there ,where he never wanted to go in the yard before. It definitely took longer than an hour to put together… So budget more time for that. But it’s been such a great addition and I’m excited to see how it continues to grow with our son
I was on the fence for the mainstay for a long time, and I can't believe I waited so long together get it. My kids love it, and it's so convenient! Easy to move and mow around and gives the kids plenty of imaginary playtime!
Nice construction
Bought for my 3 kids, ages 4, 12, and 13. From day one it was a hit. Since set up a month ago it has seen many hours of play from my youngest and some of the neighborhood kids. My middle child loves to hang out and draw in it in the afternoon. And my oldest who I have the hardest time getting outside now loves sitting outside for hours. Our yard unfortunately has no tree shade so this has been a great spot to hang out and cool off for my kids. It’s been a great fort and reading nook. We put out a blanket on the bottom and we just ordered the next level platform so we will have plenty of space soon. It is a well loved structure, easy to mow around. As well as easy to move if needed, my 12-year-old and I can do it together. It was relatively easy to set up. My husband and I were able to do it in a little over an hour. I do recommend finding something for very excited children to do during the building process. The most stressful part was my kids asking if it was done yet. Customer service was amazing when I did need to contact them. And the cherry on top is that we live in the Midwest and the weather can be kind of crazy, It’s already held up against some strong winds and thunderstorms definitely recommend this play structure, would love to invest in a second one in future.

What do I need to get started?
You need a Bijou Mainstay from us, which comes with all the hardware, panels, hinged bracket etc... and then you need 10ft long 2x4's from your local hardware store. If you order the wood with your Bijou, we will arrange for it to be sent from your local Lowes or Home Depot. We designed Bijou to use standard construction grade lumber that you can find locally. No fancy cuts needed, just 10ft length pressure treated 2x4's right off the shelf.
You will also need an 8ft step ladder and a drill to assemble the Bijou with the included wood screws and a power drill.
With that, you’re ready to get started. Assembly time with 2 adults is approx. 1 hour

Does Bijou material hold water?
No! it does not. We purposely designed the panels to be as permeable as possible while still providing UV protection and shade. Bijou doesn’t hold water or wind so it is more sturdy and stable.
If your Bijou does ever get marred, simply spray down with soap of your choice and water and give a bit of a scrub with a brush. Similar to outdoor cushions, etc.
Does it come with wood?
YES! You have the option to order with wood or without. It couldn't be more simple!

How long is shipping?
Bijou will ship from Chicago, IL within 1-3 days once you place your order via FedEx.
Wood will ship from your closes Lowes or Home Depot and will arrive within 2-5 days of your order being placed.
