Is the Bijou Build safe?
We meet or exceed all US safety standards for Children's products and Children's outdoor play equipment including ASTM F963, F1148, EN71-1 and EN71-8.
We've tested Bijou to the highest standards for use and abuse, torque and tension as well as weathering and UV testing.
Just about anywhere! It's an outdoor play structure, but you can use it in the backyard, at the grandparent's, the lake house and more.
We do recommend a relatively flat and soft surface, so the Bijou is safely staked to the ground and the kids can play to their heart's content.

Can Bijou be left outdoors year-round?
Yes! Bijou is built with outdoor pro-grade materials for durability.
It features a powder-coated steel frame, stainless steel hardware, and UV-injected nylon anchor feet. The panels are made from 50% recycled water bottles with UV-resistant Teslin material. It includes two storage straps for portability but must be staked down for stability. The pressure-treated lumber makes it decay and mildew-resistant, though the assembled Mainstay weighs about 150 lbs.

Loved by parents & kids alike
I took a long time deciding if this would work for our very limited space. And my husband was hesitant on the product too. But since we've gotten it our daughter wanted to go outside so much more than before and she absolutely loves it. I wish I had ordered sooner. Very good quality materials and putting it together took some time and it was just myself at for part of it. 2 people would get it done in a couple of hours tops. So awesome - it's a genius product.
Overall the Mainstay & Sway we purchased has been great. I will say the building instructions weren't the clearest. And there were a couple discrepancies between the video and written instructions. Also most of the hardware is of good quality, but the smaller wood screws are made out of some cheap composite material. I snapped the head off more than one screw. A little disconcerting because that is the fastener that is mostly holding everything together. For the price I think higher quality wood screws should be provided.
We received the Bijou Mainstay with the swing arm, and were BLOWN away with the quality and how easy it was to put together! My 3 children will be so excited to play on this set, and I can’t wait to add more onto it in the years to come!:)
We bought the Bijou build for our granddaughters and we couldn't be happier with our purchase. The granddaughters absolutely love the play set. Every day they want to run out to play on it. The quality is amazing. We looked at several types of play sets and decided on this one for many reasons to include the quality, ease of assembly, and versatility. You can continually add on different pieces to customize the set and change it as your kids need change. The sway swing is the perfect swing for our younger granddaughter and our older granddaughter loves the skate swing. This company was wonderful to work with. customer service is top notch. All in all we are very happy and impressed with Bijou Build
Products fine- unhappy with customer service. Some items are missing from the package and customer service has yet to respond to emails for about two weeks
This set might seem expensive at first but it’s definitely worth it. Got it for our 18mo, he already loves it (so do I) and it will grow with him.
Excited to used for years to come!
My only suggestion is the instructions could be a little clearer.
We are so pleasantly surprised by the material of this play structure. I was worried about leaving it out all year in the midwest with the pollen, rain, snow, leaves, etc but it has held up amazingly well. It is so easy to wipe down and clean. Not to mention, all the fun this has brought to our neighborhood happy hours! For me, this picture says it all. Kids being kids.
I bought this Bijou for my grandkids when they visit me at my vacation home in Breckenridge. It has been fantastic. The kids love it. Thank you for such a great product. Can’t wait until next year when I add the swing arm for the kids.
